Aline Barnsdall, a philanthropist and art collector in Los Angeles, commissioned Frank Lloyd Wright to design a home for her in the early 1920s. It was called the Hollyhock House because she requested abstract versions of her favorite flower, hollyhock, be incorporated into the home’s details. The design used in these glasses was adapted from those elements. Tumblers are printed and kiln-fired with transparent jewel-like colors. Each is 4" high and holds 14 oz. Hand wash recommended. Made in USA. Sold as a pair.
