Styled after a quaint old English conservatory. You can almost see the plants growing beyond the paned windows. A delightful addition to any room or outdoor space. Named for Joseph Pickford (bap. 1734-1782), an English architect, and one of the leading provincial architects during the reign of King George III. Pickford was born in Warwickshire in 1734, but he moved to London when he was 10. Pickford lived in Derby and the house he designed for his family is located at Number 41 Friar gate. It is now the Pickford's House Museum. Pickford worked extensively throughout the Midland of England, primarily designing houses in the Palladian style. Features beveled glass panes set in metal frames. Use indoors or outdoors; alone or in a grouping. Use tea light candles only. We recommend battery operated tea lights. 4 3/4" square, 12" high.

Great for holiday time
Review by Dana in OK review stating Great for holiday time
I put about a gazillion of these on top of both my mantel and my grand piano, and they look simply stunning. Signals is one of the very few places to find these on the internet, and their shipping is prompt and professional...and reliable, unlike some other places on the internet. A few observations: the Devonshire is the largest in footprint, along with Windale. The Hampton is the smallest footprint, along with the Pickford, and the Ellington and Durham are in between. There is also a white Pickford, a Pembroke (dark green), and a Yorkshire (red) available, but you have to chase them down directly from the Echo Valley manufacturer. All are simply gorgeous, with beveled glass and metal. I put 1.5 inch tall electric votives in them, so I can use a remote control and fire them all at once. I got these votives at flamelesscandles.net, but they are also available at other places. Anyway, I cant say enough good things about these, and God bless Signals for still carrying them.
Pickford Lantern
Review by Basset nut review stating Pickford Lantern
The pointed roof of this lantern is especially appealing. The windows on the roof as well as the glass windows on the lower part of the lantern reveal the candle light from within.
Individual works of art

I love the detail and variety of the lanterns . They give off light and shadows. I use flickering tea lights in them. They are of great quality and are unusual. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for something beyond just a candle.
