The design in these glasses is adapted from a 1940s motif that Wright used as a symbol of Wright’s School of Architecture and the Taliesin Fellowship, a residential community of apprentices and teachers associated with the school. The ancient Hohokam petroglyph that inspired this design was found on a boulder in Wright’s winter estate, Taliesin West. The motif reminded him of two hands clasping in a gesture of friendship. Tumblers are printed and kiln-fired with transparent jewel-like colors. Each is 4" high and holds 14 oz. Hand wash recommended. Made in USA. Sold as a pair.
