Dutch artist M.C. Escher (1898-1972) combined art with optical illusion to challenge our perceptions of the world. Transformer (black ground) shifts from boats to flying fish and birds. Metamorphose II (1939-40), Metamorphosis (blue ground) changes from birds to rhombi. Each tie is pure silk, 3 ½" at widest point. Imported.
