Westminster Abbey Advent Calendar
English kings and queens are crowned there; Geoffrey Chaucer, Charles Dickens, and Laurence Olivier are buried there. London's great Gothic church makes a splendid Advent calendar. 24 doors, windows, and other openings are numbered to mark the days from the first of December to Christmas Eve; behind each flap is a spectacular stainedglass window.
