Silly Sumo Wrestlers
In the ancient Japanese sport of sumo wrestling, large men vie to push or toss each other out of a ring. The heavier the fighter, the lower his center of gravity, and the harder he is to budge. Sumo Grand Champions can weigh hundreds of pounds. Somewhat less heavy but still impressive, our ceramic wrestlers are handmade and hand‑finished. Note the fierce expressions and traditional topknots. Bowing sumo is 4" high; standing sumo is 7" high. Sold as a pair.
