First published in 1995 in a limited edition, long out of print, the Fantod Pack is a bleak yet hilarious spoof on the classic tarot deck. Instead of the Fool, the Hanged Man, the Skeptic, and the Magician, Gorey offers the Yellow Bird, the Bottle, the Limb, the Feather, and other dark, droll, mysterious cards. A booklet includes cryptic readings keyed to each image. (“The Limb: miscarriage of justice, morbid sensations, an accident in a theatre.”) Deck of 20 cards.
